Festival of Eid-ul-Adha
An Eid party was organised by MWAE to celebrate the festival of Eid-ul-Adha on the 15th of January 2006. This event was covered by Scotsman newspaper.

On Saturday 28th November 2009 MWAE organised an Eid party to celebrate Eid ul Adha.
The party included plays performed by the Fayme and the Baraka Boys groups. The toddler group did a special song about the Kaba and children sang nasheeds and played the flute.

Scottish Parliament Visit
MWAE organised a visit to the Scottish Parliament on Monday 12th February. Some of this visit's photographs are avaiable for viewing.
Here is a story from a young boy who visited the Parliament on the day.
Today I went to Scottish parlemant and I went whith my mum,cusins and anty it was a long whait for my freind and we saw a place whare they do the meetings and we went to the cafe and i had a toffee muffin and then i went home to see my fun fun dad and daddy = fun fun fun

CHILD PROTECTION IN OUR COMMUNITY - Sat 5th Dec '09
Roshni launches, in partnership with MWAE, a thought provoking ladies only event to discuss Child Abuse within the Ethnic Minority Communities. The event hopes to stimulate debate and identify the reality surrounding child abuse in a secure and non-judgemental setting.
This event is part of Roshni’s ‘ACRE’ Roadshow to host a series of events in each local authority throughout Scotland.
