Volunteer Coordinator
We need a friendly and enthusiastic volunteer to lead recruiting and onboarding new volunteers for all MWAE groups. MWAE cannot function without the wonderful work our volunteers do!

then this role is for you!
You will work with Project Leaders to find out what types of skills they need from new volunteers to help run their groups. Once a volunteer has had appropriate induction then you will remain as their main point of contact for the time they stay with MWAE. We expect all volunteers to abide by the MWAE conduct policy as well as good Safeguarding and GDPR practices. MWAE will provide training for these as necessary.
HR Lead -keeping MWAE policies and practices up to date.
For this role we are looking for someone who understands how policies are used in the workplace.
MWAE activities take place in several different types of venues as well as outdoors but as a registered charity we are still expected to have good practices like a normal workplace on:
Safeguarding
Child protection
GDPR practices
We also need to have Volunteer Code of Conduct and Complaints policies reviewed regularly. Time commitment is flexible and the HR Lead would be working with all MWAE groups and Project Leaders.

Fundraising and Marketing Lead
MWAE rely on our members paying a small fee to participate in our activities or generous donors giving donations to help run all our projects. The type of costs we have to cover are premises hire, catering, equipment hire, fee for specialised practitioners (like Martial Arts teacher/Arabic teachers) and insurance.
MWAE have had some successes applying for grants for specific projects and we use some events to fundraise. We would love a responsible person to the on these tasks.
If you are experienced and keen on organising events to help fundraise for MWAE or you have admin skills to apply for grants then this role is for you!
Secretary (Volunteer Role)
The MWAE Secretary would have responsibility to email out information to our members of our events using our Outlook account.
The Secretary role would also cover scheduling meetings for MWAE volunteers using whatsapp, keeping minutes of the meetings.
To fulfill these duties you would work closely with all the MWAE team using email and whatsapp. Some meetings may be in -person when working on certain MWAE projects. If you enjoy doing admin tasks and organising online then this role is for you!
Time Commitment
Flexible, approx. 2–4 hours per week
Finance Lead (Volunteer Role)
Purpose of the Role:
To oversee the charity’s financial management, ensuring transparency, accountability, and sustainability.
This role requires a reliable person with skills in bookeeping and account management
MWAE submit accounts to the charity regulator, OSCR, every two years. The Finance Lead would work closely with the Treasurer to complete these accounts.

5. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
6. Previous teaching experience is desirable but not mandatory; newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.
